    For almost of our tours, once tour is confirmed and fully paid but for one reason they cancel the tour, the following charges will apply in the event of cancellation prior to tour commencement:

    • More than 45 days prior to trip departure: No charge (Full refund will be made but transaction fee will be paid by you).
    • 30-45 days before arrival: 10% of total tour price.
    • 15-29 days before arrival: 50% of total tour price.
    • 7-14 days before arrival: 75% of total tour price.
    • Within 7 days before arrival: 100% tour price.

    Note:

    • The above fees are subject to an added bank transaction fee.
    • There will be no refund given for any unused or missed ground arrangements, sightseeing, meals or hotel accommodations.

    In case of an unexpected situation/ bad weather causes an effect on your trip after commencement, we serve the right to change the itinerary of your booked tour for the safety of all clients in the group. If there are more than one solution, we will ask for your permission and agreement to do the next step. In such kind of cancellation, the refund of any payment on the un-used portion of transportation service, hotel service, car rental or tours will be given.

Itineraries

Day 1: Hanoi - Ha Giang

Pick up at your hotel and drive from Hanoi to Ha Giang via Tuyen Quang Town. There will be plenty of opportunities to stop along the way to photograph Vietnam’s lush green rice paddies. En route, visit a village of the Pa Then or La Chi ethnic minority people. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 2: Ha Giang - Quan Ba - Yen Minh

Today, enjoy a moderate drive through a spectacular landscape of vast limestone mountain ranges and towering vertical rock faces, creating a sense of adventure as you travel through this magical land. Pass through Heaven Gate and meet local ethnic minority people along the way before arriving in Quan Ba Town for lunch.

In the afternoon, continue the scenic drive to Yen Minh. Keep your camera ready to capture the breathtaking scenery along the way, with fascinating rock formations in all shapes and sizes. You may also have the opportunity to visit traditional houses of local ethnic minority communities.

Upon arrival in Yen Minh Town, check in at your hotel or guesthouse. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Yen Minh - Meo Vac - Dong Van

Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Meo Vac Driving Adventure Tour

After breakfast, we leave Yen Minh and drive to Meo Vac. The scenic route climbs over a mountain pass before descending into Meo Vac Valley, a beautiful valley located close to the Chinese border.

After lunch in Meo Vac, we continue our journey over Ma Pi Leng Pass, where we can admire the spectacular mountain ranges and the Nho Que River—a truly amazing sight! We then follow the winding, zigzag roads to Dong Van, exploring these remote areas and gaining insight into how local communities adapt to their challenging environment while striving to improve their livelihoods.

In Dong Van Town, we will have the opportunity to explore the ancient streets, lined with old Hmong houses built centuries ago from clay bricks and topped with tiled roofs.

Overnight in Dong Van Town.

Day 4: Dong Van - Yen Minh - Quan Ba - Ha Giang (App 150 km)

Enjoy a leisurely drive from Dong Van back to Yen Minh and Quan Ba, allowing you to explore at a relaxed pace without feeling rushed. We will visit the famous Vuong Palace, once the residence of a powerful Hmong family during the French colonial period. The palace attracts visitors interested in architecture for its distinctive blend of European and Chinese styles.

We then continue our drive back to Quan Ba before descending to Ha Giang City, where we will stay overnight.

Day 5: Ha Giang - Hoang Su Phi - Bac Ha (App 209km)

The drive from Ha Giang to Bac Ha is long but offers stunning scenery along winding, zigzag roads, making today’s journey a little more demanding. Some sections of the route may be difficult to navigate, so we recommend departing from Ha Giang early to ensure you arrive in Bac Ha before dark.

Enjoy dinner and stay overnight in Bac Ha Town.

Day 6: Bac Ha - Sapa (App 120km)

Enjoy a free morning in Bac Ha to explore the town and its surroundings. If your visit falls on a Sunday, you may have the opportunity to visit Bac Ha Market, one of the most beautiful markets in Vietnam.

In the afternoon, drive for approximately three hours to Sapa. Upon arrival, enjoy free time to explore this popular mountain town. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 7: Sapa - Hanoi

Enjoy free time to explore Sapa before heading to Lao Cai to board the overnight train back to Hanoi. End of services.

While I liked the trip, I found the age and fitness differences of the group difficult. It was advertised as hiking trip yet some people in the group struggled with gentle walks. I’ve went with other companies before and found i was with more likeminded people. I know it’s difficult to arrange, but it would be good to have an idea of who you are going to travel with for the best possible experience.
