    For almost of our tours, once tour is confirmed and fully paid but for one reason they cancel the tour, the following charges will apply in the event of cancellation prior to tour commencement:

    • More than 30 days before arrival: No charge
    • 15-30 days before arrival: 10% of total tour price.
    • 7-15 days before arrival: 50% of total tour price.
    • 4-7 days before arrival: 75% of total tour price.
    • Within 3 days before arrival: 100% tour price.

    Notes:

    • There will be no refund given for any unused or missed ground arrangements, sightseeing, meals or hotel accommodations.
    • For no show cases, there will be no refund.
    • All cancellations must be in person or in writing and received by us

    In case of an unexpected situation/ bad weather causes an effect on your trip after commencement, we serve the right to change the itinerary of your booked tour for the safety of all clients in the group. If there are more than one solution, we will ask for your permission and agreement to do the next step. In such kind of cancellation, the refund of any payment on the un-used portion of transportation service, hotel service, car rental or tours will be given.

Itineraries

Day 1: HCMC - Sa Dec - Cai Be

07:00 AM: Pick-up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City center.

10:30 AM: Arrive in Sa Dec and explore the town where Marguerite Duras’s famous novel The Lover was set, later brought to fame by the film L’Amant. Discover the story of Marguerite Duras and the town that inspired it.

Visit the lively Sa Dec food market, the primary school once attended by Marguerite Duras, Huynh Thuy Le Old House, Kien An Cung, and the Cao Dai Temple.

Take a walk or bike ride through a local village garden along rural paths, and experience everyday rural life as local farmers tend their fields and orchards.

13:00: Embark on the Mien Tay sampan, enjoy a welcome drink, and check in.

Lunch is served on board.

After lunch, cruise from Sa Dec to Cai Be via My Thuan, a pleasant and peaceful town overlooking the Mekong River. Depending on the river tide, stop along the way to visit traditional brick kilns and handicraft villages along the Mekong River.

Relax on board while sipping an aperitif.

Dinner and overnight on board in the Cai Thia–Hoa Khanh area.

Day 2: Sa Dec - Disembark

Enjoy breakfast on board while watching the activities along the Mekong River at sunrise in Cai Be.

The sounds of the floating market wake you up early in the morning. Observe the daily lives of local people living along both banks of the Mekong River.

After breakfast, transfer your luggage to a small motorboat and explore the lively Cai Be floating market.

Take a walk to visit a local handicraft village and sample a variety of tropical fruits.

Continue by boat to Mekong Lodge, an eco-resort featuring more than 40 charming private bungalows and a River View Restaurant. Spread over an area of more than 10,000 m², the resort is located beside the Tien River.

Visit Mekong Lodge and stroll around the area to observe local people going about their daily activities and preparing lunch for their families.

Lunch is served at the River View Restaurant at Mekong Lodge.

After lunch, return by boat to Cai Be Tourist Pier, disembark, and transfer back to Saigon.

End of tour.

I would like to reintroduce Ho Chi Minh for wanting to do the Mekong River tour again. Tourist bus, four seater boat, snake, bee, 20 seater boat, lunch, same boat, bus, big statue of Buddha. Each one was long and fulfilling. I got caught and regret that there were only a few photos taken during the cruise. Even with a similar view from the ship, you will have 30 photos taken, that precious sensation will revive.
