02:00 PM: Our tour guide will welcome you at Hanoi Opera House, 1 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi. From there, you will walk to the bus stop to catch the bus.

02:30 PM: Take the bus to the Ho Chi Minh Complex.

03:00 PM: Arrive at the Ho Chi Minh Complex and begin exploring this impressive complex, built to express the pride of the Vietnamese people in their first president, Ho Chi Minh, also known as Uncle Ho. He was a national liberation hero who founded the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

During your visit, you will have the opportunity to explore the following attractions:

1. Ba Dinh Square

Ba Dinh Square is a historic site in front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. It is where President Ho Chi Minh read Vietnam’s Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945.

2. Ho Chi Minh’s Residence

Rather than living in the Presidential Palace, President Ho Chi Minh chose to live in a modest house nearby. The residence includes a two-story house, and the beloved President lived there from 1958 until his death in 1969.

3. One Pillar Pagoda

One Pillar Pagoda is an ancient Buddhist temple built in 1049 during the Ly Dynasty. An interesting legend explains its construction: King Ly Thai Tong dreamed of receiving a baby boy from the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, who appeared seated on a lotus flower. Inspired by this dream, the king ordered the construction of a pagoda designed to resemble a lotus rising from the water.

04:30 PM: Take the bus to the next stop, the Temple of Literature.

04:40 PM: Arrive at the Temple of Literature. You will have time to visit this historic site, Vietnam’s first national university and a temple dedicated to Confucius. It is widely regarded as one of Hanoi’s most picturesque tourist attractions.

Originally built in 1070 during the Ly Dynasty to honor Confucius, scholars, and sages, the Temple of Literature is remarkably well preserved and is an excellent example of traditional Vietnamese architecture.

05:35 PM: Take the bus to Hanoi Opera House.

06:00 PM: Arrive at Hanoi Opera House. From there, begin walking to Hanoi’s Old Quarter to sample some of the city’s most famous local dishes, often described as Hanoi-style street food.

Your local guide will introduce you to the traditions and cultural significance of Vietnamese cuisine, explaining the ingredients and historical background of popular northern Vietnamese dishes.

Many delicious local specialties await you in the Old Quarter. Here are some examples:

• Bun Cha: Rice noodles served with grilled pork.

• Pho: Vietnamese rice noodle soup.

• Banh Goi: Vietnamese pillow-shaped fried pastries.

• Banh Tom: Vietnamese shrimp cakes.

• Banh Xeo: Vietnamese crispy pancakes.

• Banh Cuon: Steamed rice rolls.

• Nom Bo Kho: Dried beef salad with green papaya.

• Banh Mi Hanoi: Hanoi-style Vietnamese bread.

• Nem Ran / Pho Cuon: Fried spring rolls / fresh rice noodle rolls.

• Drinks: Bia Hoi (Vietnamese fresh beer), mixed fruit, egg coffee, and Che (Vietnamese sweet soup).

At the end of the tour, you are free to continue exploring the area or return to your hotel by taxi or on foot.
