For almost of our tours, once tour is confirmed and fully paid but for one reason they cancel the tour, the following charges will apply in the event of cancellation prior to tour commencement:
- More than 30 days before arrival: No charge
- 15-30 days before arrival: 10% of total tour price.
- 7-15 days before arrival: 50% of total tour price.
- 4-7 days before arrival: 75% of total tour price.
- Within 3 days before arrival: 100% tour price.

Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam’s bustling former colonial capital! Your guide and driver will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Noi Bai Airport and transfer you to your hotel in the city centre.
In the afternoon, enjoy an orientation walk to discover some of Hanoi’s main attractions, including the Opera House, the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, and Ngoc Son Temple.
In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at one of Hanoi’s finest restaurants.

Today, enjoy a full day exploring Vietnam’s charming capital. With its wide, tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes, and ancient Oriental pagodas, Hanoi is an eclectic city that offers something for everyone.
Your city tour will take you to Hanoi’s key attractions: the Ho Chi Minh Complex (including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and stilt house); the Presidential Palace; the nearby One Pillar Pagoda; the Temple of Literature; West Lake; the tranquil Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple; and one of the city’s museums, with a choice between the History Museum and the Ethnology Museum.
In the late afternoon, enjoy a traditional water puppet performance, a unique Vietnamese art form originating from Southeast Asia’s wet-rice culture.

- Day 3: Hanoi – Lao cai – Sapa

After breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you in the hotel lobby before departing Hanoi for Sapa. The journey takes approximately six hours via Vietnam’s longest and most modern highway.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel before driving to Tram Ton Pass, also known as Heaven’s Gate, the highest mountain pass in Vietnam at an elevation of over 2,000 metres. Admire the spectacular views, including views of the Fansipan summit, the highest peak in the Indochina mountains, weather permitting. Then, visit the nearby Silver Waterfall and marvel at the surrounding natural scenery.
Stop along the way to visit O Quy Ho village, which is known for the various vegetables, flowers, fruit trees, and medicinal plants grown there.
Spend the afternoon exploring the charming town of Sapa or relaxing at your leisure.

- Day 4: Sapa Trekking

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before setting out on a full day of trekking to explore Sapa’s cultural diversity and stunning natural beauty. Take a guided hike through expansive valleys adorned with terraced rice fields and pass through remote ethnic minority villages.
You can choose from three trekking options: a soft trek (approximately 3 km), a medium trek (approximately 6 km), or a long trek (approximately 12 km).
Trekking is an excellent way to discover local daily life and familiarise yourself with the cultures of the H’mong, Dzao, and Dzay people who inhabit the region.
Drive back to Sapa in the late afternoon.

- Day 5: Sapa – Coc Ly/ Sin Cheng/ Can Cau/ Bac Ha Fair Market – Hanoi

Early in the morning, your driver and guide will take you to one of the local markets: Coc Ly on Tuesday, Sin Cheng on Wednesday, Can Cau on Saturday, or Bac Ha on Sunday.
Wander through the stalls filled with handcrafted goods sold by local ethnic minority communities who come here to buy and sell their products. The specific market will be recommended by your travel consultant based on your travel date.
After lunch, bid farewell to Vietnam’s northwestern region and begin your journey back to Hanoi.

- Day 6: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight on cruise

Your guide and driver will meet you in the lobby of your hotel before setting out on a 3- to 4-hour drive to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Spend 24 hours aboard a traditional junk cruise in this amazing bay, a natural wonderland of towering limestone islands and sparkling turquoise waters. Arrive at the dock around noon and board your junk. Savour a gourmet lunch featuring fresh seafood onboard as you sail into the mystical bay.
In the afternoon, cruise around some of Ha Long Bay’s many islands, including Dinh Huong and Ga Choi. Along the way, visit one of the bay’s three largest caves: Thien Cung, Dau Go, or Sung Sot. Stop at an island cove with a sheltered white-sand beach and take a dip in the warm waters of the Gulf of Tonkin, weather permitting.
Spend the night aboard your junk, lulled to sleep by the gentle rocking of the calm waters.

Wake up early and participate in a Tai Chi session on the top deck, or simply relax and enjoy the sunrise over the bay’s towering islands. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea before setting out to explore the nearby islands by rowboat.
Return to the junk for brunch, then take advantage of the sundeck to admire the amazing rock formations of Bai Tu Long Bay as the boat navigates back to Ha Long City.
Upon arrival, your driver will meet you at the dock and transfer you to Noi Bai Airport to catch your short flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, meet your tour guide and transfer to your hotel in Hoi An.

- Day 8: Hoi An Walking Tour

Enjoy some time to relax and immerse yourself in the tranquillity and charm of this sleepy riverside town. From the 16th to the 18th centuries, Hoi An was a thriving international port frequented by Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese, and Arab traders, who came to trade in the high-quality silk still produced in the region.
Today, Hoi An is a relaxing resort town popular with tourists for its eclectic architecture, skilled tailors, and numerous cafés.
Take a half-day walking tour through the narrow, winding streets of the ancient quarter, visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Hall, the 200-year-old Tam Ky ancestral house, and the famous Japanese Bridge.
In the afternoon, enjoy free time to shop, explore the town, or relax on the beach.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then check out and drive north towards Hue via Hai Van Pass, which reaches an elevation of approximately 500 metres. Stop at the scenic Lang Co Beach for a drink before continuing to Hue, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Spend the afternoon on a leisurely walking tour of Vietnam’s ancient capital, visiting the Royal Citadel, Thien Mu Pagoda, and the Mausoleum of King Tu Duc, a replica of the king’s palace built for his next reincarnation.

- Day 10: Hue – Fly to Saigon

Have breakfast at the hotel, then drive to the airport to catch your flight to Vietnam’s modern metropolis, Saigon. Arrive in the late morning and enjoy an orientation tour through Ho Chi Minh City’s bustling streets en route to the hotel.
Have lunch at a downtown restaurant of your choice, then set out on a guided city tour. This afternoon, visit sites such as the Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the City Post Office, and Ben Thanh Market.

- Day 11: Sai Gon - Mekong Delta - Chau Doc

Today, you leave Saigon and travel to the Mekong River Delta. Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before driving to the riverside town of Cai Be. Along the way, stop at a candy factory and an orchard garden, where you will have the opportunity to listen to traditional music.
Enjoy a relaxing lunch at a riverside restaurant, then cross the calm waters of the Mekong River in a rustic rowboat to visit an island in the middle of the river delta.
Spend time exploring the small islands and experiencing the rural way of life. Your driver will be waiting for you on the other side of the river to take you to Chau Doc, a small town near the Cambodian border. Check in at your hotel, then spend the late afternoon enjoying an orientation walk around the town.

- Day 12: Chau Doc – Phnom Penh by speedboat

After breakfast, check out of the hotel, then travel by speedboat up the Mekong River to Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh. The journey takes approximately four and a half hours, including visa formalities. Visas can be obtained at the border between Vietnam and Cambodia and cost $32, including the processing fee.
Your guide will meet you at the dock in Phnom Penh and take you to your hotel. Despite its recent turbulent history, Phnom Penh’s wide, tree-lined boulevards and faded colonial mansions hold an undeniable charm.
After lunch at a downtown restaurant, visit the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the notorious Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. A visit to these sites provides deep insight into the painful and bloody rule of the Khmer Rouge.

- Day 13: Phnom Penh – Fly to Siem Reap

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely tour visiting the National Museum, the Royal Palace, home to the royal family, and the Silver Pagoda. Your driver will then transfer you to the airport for a short flight to Siem Reap, the gateway to the ancient temples of Angkor.
In the late afternoon, marvel at the intricate carvings of Angkor Wat, then take a balloon ride for an aerial view of the temple and its surroundings. Soar through the skies and admire the picturesque Cambodian countryside, with its rice fields and villages. This is a highlight of your sightseeing in Angkor!
Optional: In the afternoon, head to the Happy Ranch Horse Farm, located 10 minutes outside the city centre, and enjoy a trail ride through Siem Reap’s serene countryside. Horse-drawn cart rides are also available as an alternative.
You can also choose to travel by speedboat up the Mekong from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. The best time to travel by river ferry is from September to December.
Driving from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap is now also recommended, thanks to improvements to National Road 6. The journey takes approximately five hours each way.

- Day 14: Siem Reap – Angkor Temples

Enjoy an entire day devoted to the mystical and ancient temples of Angkor. After an early breakfast at the hotel, set out for Angkor Thom’s imposing South Gate, topped with the four serenely smiling faces of Avalokiteshvara.
Next, visit Bayon Temple, the Elephant Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Leaving Angkor Thom through the North Gate, travel to Preah Khan (Sacred Sword), one of Angkor’s largest temples, constructed in the 12th century by Jayavarman VII.
After a delicious lunch of traditional Khmer food, head to the mystical, jungle-entwined Ta Prohm Temple, then continue to the most famous Khmer temple, Angkor Wat. Originally constructed as a Hindu monument and later dedicated to Buddha, Angkor Wat is the largest temple and one of the finest examples of Angkorian art and architecture.

This was the most fantastic trip I have ever done - in Europe or Asia. Our group was great and perfect for singles travelling alone. Our leader took us to local dinners with his family/friends where we were able to try localfood (including cricket, frog and tarantulas!). Everything important was included, but we were still given heaps of free time to explore the cities. The hightlights for me were Angkor Wat, the elephant rides and bamboo train, but the tour through gen ocide museum, killing fields were also great and the local guides had so much information that i would have missed if I was seeing the sights alone.

It has to be the most awesome trip by far. Alot of travelliing invovlved but well worth it. Food is super cheap long with the drinks.. tryed a fried spiders heart and leg and was surprisingly ok, abit chewy though!! We danced, we sung, played the most stupid games and was with a fab group of people. If it is your first time to go to Asia, this is a good taster of Vietnam, Cambodia and I now want to go back

I have traveled alone as well as with intrepid and can say that it is by far one of the best ways to travel. Everything is arranged for you(especially help with border crossings), you get to meet new people/cultures from not only the countries you are visiting but those you are traveling with, and its value for money. Tour guide was great, had a good sense of humor, was interested and wanted to get to know group members, enthusiastic, good local knowledge etc and made excellent suggestions for our free time and places to eat which was something I was wary about. There were moments where we literally got stuck in torrential rain in the countryside with no shelter but when your with great people and in a safe place what can you do but laugh and enjoy the experience! Highlights - Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, Battumbang. Lows - Wasn't a big fan of Ho Chi Minh, but wasn't there long enough to worry about it.
